Description

Approaches archiving through the eyes of a librarian in terms of what should be store, where and how, how the information is stored within new technologies, and does it make a difference in terms of file type. As library goers are more apt to peruse via digitized data, libraries need to archive their inventory for ease of use in a digitized generation.
Therefore many libraries are making information available electronically, and thus are in need of learning how archiving is implemented through theory and practice. As a walk through guide to this process of preservation and record holding, the issues concerning library archive databases are addressed so as to implement digital archives into these databases.
